The things I didn't like

Drake.  I'm just not a fan yet.  Nothing against him.  I'm just not on the bandwagon.

Nikki Minaj.  I. AM. NOT. A. FAN. PERIOD.

Trey Songz. 

Of all the things that you could've performed.  Come on.  That.  And Prince wasn't happy either.  He looked at you like you had just messed up his perm or somethin.

So all things considered, this year wasn't half bad.  I don't remember Kanye's performance or Kirk Franklins.  Sorry.  Oh I do remember that T.I looks good and Jada looked Great and that somebody needs to feed Ciara quickly. 

Too High
Since I couldn't get my post up and it was as late as the Princes' tribute I had enough time to read The YBF today.  Did anyone else notice the little girls heels in the back ground?  Is it me or are those heels mighty high?  They are about as high as Keke's.  If somebody doesn't watch her, she'll be sharing Prince's hip medicine soon.

  

 

BET LOVE

Sorry that this is late.  You've got to LOVE technology.  I just decided to split it up.

The BET Awards were much better this year than in previous years.  Queen Latifah opened with a rhyme that acknowledge a few of the audience members and her years in the business.  How many of us was waiting for Trey Songz to really take his shirt off.  

Here are the things that I loved from the Show.

Nia Long and Larenz Tate.  I might have to pull the cd from my hard drive again.  My little cousin was at my house and when he saw Larenz Tate he said "Who's that."  I said, "He's before your time hun."

    

The baby pictures of the nominees.  I thought that it was a good personal touch.  Good job.

Eminems Performance.  His performance was fabulous.  He always comes back on top.  I love him.

 

Chris Brown.  Many people thought that Chris had crocodile tears.  I liked his performance.  BET's performance last year was garbage.  Many awards shows tributes last year was garbage.  At least this was better than many people's tribute efforts last year.  Whatever he does will never be seen as genuine.  He could be nailed to a cross by the savior jesus christ himself and the muslims would say that it was an actor.  So I say, enjoy the performance portion.

El Debarge sang a medley of his songs.  I'm happy to see El drug free.  Many made sly comments about El's dress and jeans and such.  But hey.  He's not living the million dollar lifestyle.  I'm just happy that his voice sustained and I'm hoping that he is and stays drug free.

I enjoyed John Legend.  He could use a shape-up.  But it's great to hear about his humanitarianism.

I know that Patti is a legend.  Let's take a moment to recognize that and honor that.  But I enjoyed Alicia's tribute the most.  I know that people say that she stole Swizz and she's a wrecka.  But the old Prince woulda flipped his hair stomped out before she had the chance to take the stage.  She didn't need to be up on that piano though.

  
 
 Prince has his own picture on his shirt.  Priceless.  Just utterly, Priceless.  Only Prince!
