So my cousin and I had a discussion the other night about Kim Kardashian. He couldn’t believe how she skates by, doing nothing and dating athletes. I told him that I don't quite agree. I heard that she’s a work-a-holic, but I’m not sure exactly how. I think that it’s one of those situations where they’re behind a bunch of stuff that maybe you don’t know about. The more that we talked we were like, I mean all she does is her television show, she has a perfume, they have the stores (that they had before the show), before any of this, she got her feet wet as a stylist and that was before she was famous (I don’t know why we knew all of this. Too much E! True Hollywood Story I guess).
And after all of that, while we were looking to see if Iron Man 2 was on DVR, we continue to scroll and what comes up? Kim Kardashians’ ab and butt workout. Ha! I swear it did. I couldn’t believe it.
By the end of the night, my opinion is that maybe she is a hustler. She doesn’t have the career that some might find respectful, but let’s be real. If someone came to you and said, you’re gorgeous, can we take a picture of you, make a perfume in your name, blah blah blah. Here’s a 7+ figure check. Would you say “No. I really want to be an accountant.” Manage all that money that you’d be making. I mean, there may be a couple, but not many. You’d hustle your career and swing it the way that you want too. If you find that's not your dream, use your cash to live your dream. Raise beetles because the mortgage is paid and your VW is paid off.
As for dating the athletes, I mean seriously. Reggie Bush? I’d be all over that. Why not date them? All of them can’t be buttholes. And I LOVE football players. Yes I do. Even retired ones. You hear that Jamal Lewis. I love you. But back to the subject at hand. Ladies get your money. If you respect yourself and can look at yourself in the mirror and be ok with you, get it in. Everyone won’t like it and that’s just the way it is.
On a different note, it doesn’t look like Tyrese is a Kim K. fan either. Or at least her friendship swag. Check out his recent tweet about her lack of support for her friend LaLa.
I have to admit, I haven’t watched the show yet. But I’m not a sacred follower of Keeping up with the Kardashians either. I just kind of catch it when I catch it. I do want to catch at least one or two episodes of Lala's. I always feel like I already have too many reality shows in the cipher. I can’t fit anymore into the Tivo! Have you guys seen it? What do you think?
My favorite LaLa moment is still when that crazy Buckwild of Flavor of Love 3 threw a shoe at New York and it barely missed Lala. She looked at them like “Have you lost your damn mind.” I thought she was about to take off the earrings and the heels and knock somebody out. I really think that she won me over at that point.
