I'll quietly put my hand up. I really didn't. I had no intention of watching this foolishness. What do I care? I maybe wanted to see her dress, but I figured that I could see that later on. I knew that there would be a million pictures. I wasn't about to sit here and watch it all morning. Apparently I don't know myself that well.
I woke up this morning and turned to my normal morning programming, the Today Show. 20 minutes later, after I hadn't moved from my initial spot, I asked myself, why am I sitting her watching this? The first 10 minutes, I didn't even see them. They were in the back of the church doing something. I can't even remember. But I was on pins and needles to see their procession out of the church.
After I got out of the shower, same thing. Sitting. Watching. Listening to the commentators. Oh a commercial? No problem. I should start getting dressed right? Nope. I turn to Good Morning America. I finally realized that I had to get my behind to work. If this is the behavior of a person who could care less, I'd hate to see if I cared. I do have some pictures of the couple. I loved her dress. I wasn't a fan of the big pleats, but hey, I'm a commoner. I guess it's good for a princess.
It was said that Kates dress was modeled after Grace Kelly's. Good choice. Grace didn't have the pleats though. So I'm in love with her dress as well. Especially since it was so long ago.
I thought that the couple looked pretty happy. I missed the ceremony, but there were certain periods where they seemed to laugh and joke with each other and that's what it's all about. It didn't seem strictly stuffy.
Pippa's dress was gaw-geous. She looked great. Like her sister, she was stylish, a little sexy, but appropriate. I also LOVED the little boys uniforms/suits. They were so cute.
So congratulations to the new couple. The fashion (which is what a lot of us were waiting for) was great. The wedding turned those of us that couldn't give a you know what, into active watchers. Oh and we can't forget the other important, stylish couple of the day. The Queen? Of course not. Although she looked nice.
Mr & Mrs David Beckham. I tell ya what. That David Beckham is fine as a mutha. I think that Victoria's ring may be bigger than the Princess'. I have to say that I expected a bigger hat out of her though.
Enjoy your Friday ladies. Did you watch the Royal Wedding?
